In a move that may shocked the world, the intrepid Jumpgate Team revealed that the extremely close election results in Florida were actually due to a practical joke.

When the uncertain election results became public, Jumpgate contacted its underground resources, and what we believed to be a trail of information that would lead to terrorists, criminals, and an international conspiracy to cause chaos in our southernly neighbor. We were determined to find the conspirators and alert the sleepily US authorities, so we could save them from some serious embarrassment.

Imagine how hard we laughed when we discovered that the entire election had been rigged by the Government of Iceland, as a practical joke. We finally managed to track down one of the organizers of this hilarious event.

One of Jumpgate's sources, a high-ranking member of the Icelandic government, who asked to only be identified as "Sven" said that the idea for the prank came after airmen from the US forces base near Keflavik played a prank on the residents of Keflavik by sounding the air-raid sirens during the local election, causing confusion and mayhem.

"Sven" said that after the prank by the airmen, the residents of Keflavik thought long and hard how to get the airmen back. At a secret town meeting, it was agreed that they would create a deadlock in the US presidential elections.

When we asked just how they managed to rig the US elections, a major undertaking by anyone's standard, "Sven" replied that it was a secret and only said that it had been accomplished with "national technical means", a term usually used in reference to spy satellites. Although its a known fact that Iceland doesn't have any satellites, this raises several questions.

First of all, what exactly are these Icelandic "national technical means", how does it work, and how did it effect the millions upon millions of US voters? The implications of this are frightening. Could Iceland be influencing more than just the presidential vote in the US? Could they be controling what we see on TV, hear on the radio, read on the Internet? If Iceland has this kind of power, what other devious evil could they be up to? What else will they change? What else have they used their "national technical means" to change? Do other nations have this ability as well?

It would appear that there is a new superpower on the international playing field with a weapon that no one else has. The battle for your mind has begun.
