October 29, 2001 - Bond 20. Code Name: "Beyond The Ice"

A janitor Bond fan who works at MGM studios found shredded papers relating to the new 007 film. After several days of hard work, the janitor was able to piece together the shredded puzzle and immediately sent it to us. So here is the latest scoop on the new movie, exclusively on Truely Tabloid!

Pierce Brosnan will reprise his role as agent 007 in the twentieth Bond film. The code name for the movie is "Beyond The Ice" and is scheduled for released in theatres for November 2002.

The Plot

The code name "Beyond The Ice" actually referrers to a country where some of the action will take place: Canada. From what the janitor was able to piece together, here is the plot segment that will be (or has been) shot in Ottawa, Canada.

In the Canadian scene, James Bond will pose as Joe Black, a government worker at Revenue Canada. His mission is to get government information from the Honourable Martin Cauchon that may hold clues to several killings in Alaska.

To get to Cauchon and the information, Bond must go after his gorgeous daughter "Popoune", played by Luba Goy of the Royal Canadian Air Farce. Popoune works at McDonalds and loves to play bingo. So, for the first time, you see James Bond ordering a Big Mac while hitting on Popoune. Normally, every Bond movie features a scene in a fancy casino. This time, Bond gets to play and yell "Bingo!" (another first for 007) whichgets Popoune very excited. James gets the girl and the information in typical Bond style.

After his Canadian mission is complete, James Bond heads to Alaska.

The Gadgets

The Aston Martin will be back again for the new movie. It will be equipped with machine guns, missiles, a flame thrower, and a cool device to change the state of traffic lights within 500 feet.

Another innovative gadget developed by R, played by John Cleese, is explosive Timbits. It's reported that one bad guy even gets to eat several Timbits before they explode!

The Girls

Other than Luba Goy, the main Bond girl will played by Keely Shaye Smith. Mony Penny will be played by Samantha Bond again. No other information was available.

The Title

"Beyond The Ice" will not be the new title of the movie. Several film titles were suggested on the papers, such as "James Bond: Operation Robocod" and "Shaken not Stirred". However, in keeping the tradition with some past titles such as Gold Finger, The Man With the Golden Gun, and Golden Eye, the new movie will be called "Golden Rod".
